Art, for me, is an instrument by which I share my innermost emotions, thoughts and desires while remaining secluded safely behind the piece.  As I begin a piece, I fall in love with it.  It becomes my secret passion. I think about it all the time, I fantasize about what will happen next.  When the piece is completed, I part amiably from it and move on to the next love affair.

The organic feel of the clay combined with the creative process lends itself to a connection with the most basic elements of life.  The sheer joy of creating a piece that will be used to enrich someone’s life is the ultimate satisfaction for any potter. The highest compliment a potter can receive is to see a pot they have fashioned by hand in use in someone’s home. Pottery is original art, fashioned by hand, made to enhance everyday life.
